Summer Camp Details

Residential Camps will cost $1495 per student and include housing (with a roommate or roommates) in a Notre Dame dorm, all meals, entertainment and lab supplies. Camps will end on Friday afternoon with a presentation to family/friends at 1pm in Jordan Hall of Science. While at camp, all students will be required to stay on campus and may not leave for any reason. Registration will close 3 weeks before the camp begins or when no more spots are available.

Camp activities will include genotyping themselves, testing for genetically modified foods, identifying a plant species using DNA and MORE! See a sample day here.

Check-in will be held on Sunday from 4-5pm. At check-in you will receive your room assignment, keys, resident leader’s name, and all materials you will need for the week. From there, you are encouraged to move-in. Groups will leave the dorm for dinner after 5:30pm. Exact location and additional details about check-in will be included in registration materials.

On Friday, families are welcome to join us back in Jordan Hall of Science at 1pm for “closing ceremony” including presentation of completion certificates. After this program, camp is over and move-out can begin. Move-out must be completed by 4pm.

**The same camp is being offered multiple times throughout the summer. Please feel free to sign up for the week that is most convenient.**

For all camps, registration materials will be sent at least 2 weeks prior to the camp start date.

For residential camps, registration will be capped at 24 participants per week. Day camps and workshops will be capped at 32 participants per week. Registration will be honored on a first-come, first serve basis. There are a limited number of financial aid scholarships available to attend camps based on demonstrated financial need. If cost will be a major hurdle in attending the camps and you are able to demonstrate financial need, please contact AdminDNACenter@nd.edu. If financial assistance is a requirement to attend, please contact the director prior to registration.
