Adeline Clifford

Adeline Clifford in the DNA Learning Center lab.

“I was first interested in genetics after learning about inherited traits in biology freshman year. I loved learning about Punnett Squares and how genotypes result in different phenotypes. Research was a way for me to explore this interest deeper and do my own work.”

Landra Ream in front of her science fair project.

“I think genetics is a really cool field of study because we already know a lot about genetics yet what has been explored is only a small fraction of what exists. Genetics provides important information that can be used for a multitude of different purposes, such as understanding what medical conditions someone might develop or what treatments for cancers would be the best for a certain patient. There is always room for new discoveries in the field of genetics, which is what I find really amazing about it.”
